We went with Casa Del Buceo. They took very good care of us. Only 6 of us in the boat. We left at 7:30 am and were back by 12:00. Enrique and Jesus worked hard to get us to the Sharks.

This first video shows a bit of how the process works. The boat gets close to the whale shark (but not to close) and while its getting in place you hang over the edge of the boat. Once the boat is in position you jump from the boat and start swimming like crazy to get to the whale shark.

This second video is from our first swim with our first whale shark. While you look at them from the boat they appear to be slow but when you are in the water with them they are actually moving quite fast. It was a struggle to keep pace with them.

This was just a snorkel trip but a very memorable one. We spent a good hour and a half in the water with the sharks and rays. It was truly and incredible experience.

I took the best of our pictures and posted them here. This was our first time using the strobe with the Canon. We also used a Fantasea Fisheye lens. We still require alot of pratice but I’m pretty happy with the results.  We did ourfirst 5 dives with Belize Dive Services.  These guys were awesome. They took such good care of us. We had probably one our best dives with them doing a night dive. Then we did the Blue Hole trip with Frenchies.  The Blue Hole was amazing!!! Alot of the reviews we read online people said that they would only do this dive once. We would definately do it again.

I had a close encounter with the Eel. While trying to get lined up to take a good shot I wasn’t paying attention until he got a little big in my view finder, only then did I look up and see that he was very mad, about a foot away and ready to take a chunk out of me.  The other divers on the boat got a good laugh out of that.

Here is some video we took at the Blue Hole.

Here is a video we took of a Sting Ray and a Fish doing a stare down.

Last of all, here is a video of Half Moon Caye. The video doesn’t do this wall justice at all. This was one of the prettiest wall dives we have done.
